The 19th edition of the open international workshop SYNCHRON will be held at « Port aux Rocs », near the corsair city of Le Croisic in France, from November 18th. to November 23rd., 2012.

The SYNCHRON workshop constitutes the only yearly meeting place for all researchers in the exciting field of synchronous programming. The synchronous programming paradigm allow for the unambiguous description of reactive, embedded real-time systems. The common foundation of all synchronous languages is the so-called "synchrony hypothesis", which regards computations and communications as being logically instantaneous.

SYNCHRON is an open forum without program selection. It welcomes an international audience of students and researchers to present their latest ongoing work on the large spectrum of topics extending and/or applying the synchronous paradigm: case studies, tools and/or projects, design methodologies, verification and validation, model-driven engineering, domain-specific languages, concurrency and scheduling theory, semantics and models of computation and communication, programming language design, analysis, and compilation.

At the occasion of SYNCHRON'12, a special issue of the Journal of Computing, Computer Society of India (http://www.csijournal.org) will be edited. Participants to the workshop are cordially invited to submit their contributions. The call for papers is available here.
